The 24-year-old who was impressive for Lille last season, firing the Les Dogues to second place behind champions PSG in the French League 1 table - is currently representing his nationals at the ongoing Afcon tournament in Egypt.
Liverpool have been linked with move for Pepe in recent months with speculations springing up that they have made a £71million bid for the Ivorian.
And now a close friend of the winger Jeremie Boga who plays for Serie A club Bologna has told Lfc rumour that Pepe has revealed he is due to quit LOSC after the on going African Cup of Nations, pointing Liverpool as his destination.
Whether an undisclosed fee has been reached between Lille and Liverpool is yet unknown but Boga's revelation hints the Reds must have come to a successful conclusion.
