Steven Gerrard want Liverpool to sign Virgil van Dijk

Gerrard think Van Dijk will be good for Liverpool 

The dutch man has been linked with move to Anfield in recent weeks, with Manchester city, Chelsea and Manchester united also the race

But southampton are not considering to sell the full back.

Gerrard told  BT Sport: "Who I think we need, I would go and try and bid for van Dijk from Southampton. 

"But we've had enough of their players so that will probably go down like a lead balloon.
