Liverpool are waiting to see if Red Bull Leipzig relent on selling Naby Keita after the midfielder expressed a desire to leave.
Keita is understood to have a buy-out clause of £48million that comes into play next summer but Liverpool are prepared to make a bigger offer now.
Leipzig have maintained the 22-year-old Guinea international is not for sale at any price but he was not included in their new kit launch on Monday and they have started to look for alternative signings. Liverpool may have to go as high as £70m to push through a sale however.
Meanwhile, Andre Wisdom has completed his move to Derby County.
