Joe Gomez want Danny Ingz back to team

Joe Gomez has claimed there is strength in Liverpool attack even with the absence of philippe Coutinho

The Barcelona target is suffering from a back injury which has kept him out of Jurgen Klopp’s plans for the opening three games of the campaign.

In contrast, Gomez has been able to put his injury nightmare behind him and made his first league start in nearly two years in Saturday’s 1-0 win over Palace.

The 20-year-old, who has battled back from knee ligament problems, saw Sadio Mane net the winner for his side.

But with new signings Mo Salah and Dominic Solanke coming off the bench, Gomez was impressed at his team’s added firepower since his last appearance for the Reds.

He said: “Sadio is lightning and he is clinical as well. It’s great to have the attacking force we
have.
“There’s so much strength in depth up front – you see Mo and Dom coming on. It’s great to have their impact and the attackers got the result for us.”

Meanwhile, striker Danny Ings is also showing good progress after playing just six times in two years since joining from Burnley due to a series of knee injuries.

Gomez added: “He’s a good, good mate of mine as everyone knows. I’m buzzing for Danny to be back.”
