Blow for Reds as defender reveals interest in signing a new deal

Liverpool target  De Vrig has claimed he's happy at Lazio and in contract extension talks 

Liverpool have been linked with a move for Lazio defender De Vrij for weeks now but to that note the reported target seems to be on a verge to extend his contract with Lazio.

The Lazio defender is in the final year of his contract and have been linked with Premier League moves since the summer.

British outlet had stated the defender wanted a Premier League switch but the Italian source Football Italia rubbishes rumor of such kind as they claimed that the player is happy with his side and wish to continue his career in the Serie A.

And the reports from the Italian press are becoming real as the defender told reporters after their 2-1 victory over Juventus;

"I'm very happy to be here, we are talking to the club now and I hope to find an agreement.

"You never know what will happen, but my intention is to grow, improve and make the best decision for my career."
