Liverpool reach agreement to sign Fabinho

Liverpool have agreed a £43.6m deal to sign Fabinho from Monaco



The 24-year-old Brazilian, was also under the watch of Atletico Madrid and Manchester United, but has preferred a move to Anfield to work under Jurgen Klopp.

Fabinho started in a defensive midfield role in Monaco’s recent game at Troyes, but he’s also played as a full-back before in his career.


The Brazilian remain a utility player, he can fit in number of positions though favours the defensive midfield role and Monaco value him around £45million.

Chamberlain has been ruled out with knee ligament injury and a recovery date is yet unknown, with Philippe Coutinho departure in January and Emre Can looking set to leave Liverpool have few numbers in the middle to challenge for the league next season and are keen to bolster the midfield.

Fabinho has played only four senior International games throughout his career. He also spent two years at Real Madrid before moving to Monaco in 2015.
