    Liverpool sign Shaqiri - All you need to know

    Xherdan Shaqiri have penned a five year contract with Liverpool

    Liverpool have completed the signing of  Xherda Shaqiri after agreeing a £13million deal with Stoke City.

    The Stoke city forward capped 85 Premier League games in three seasons for the Potters scoring 15 goals. He also netted 8 times and set up 7 despite Stoke City disappointing run last season.

    On his first day at Melwood Shaqiri said:


    “I’m very happy to be here,” he said. “It’s a huge club with big history, big players and a fantastic coach.


    “So I’m really glad and happy to be here.

    “As a player you always want to be on the biggest stage in football.

    “A few years ago I wanted to come too but it didn’t happen. I’m really happy that now I’m finally here.

    “I want to improve myself too, I want to be with the best and I want to win titles. That’s what I’m here for.”

    ●Stoke City reaction after Shaqiri left the club



    Stoke City has left a farewell message to Shaqiri after his departure on Friday



     “Sheridan Shari has today joined Liverpool from Stoke City for an undisclosed fee.

    “The 26-year-old Swiss international scored 15 goals in 84 league appearances for the Potters in three years at the bet365 Stadium.

    “The club would like to place on record our thanks to Xherdan and wish him all the best for the future.”

    The 26-year-old who is known for his great speed and outside curves can play as both an attacker and a midfielder.
