Liverpool has officially announced that Harry Wilson has committed his stay with the club until 2023

The Wales international who play for Liverpool Under-23 side, extended his stay on a five-year deal as he hope to get a place in Jurgen Klopp's first team this season.

Harry Wilson first penned a contract extension in January before joining Hull City but  the Reds believe it isn't enough after he impressed at the championship scoring 7 goals in 13 appearance while helping the Tigers avoid being relegated. The 24-year-old also netted twice in Liverpool 7-0 preseason friendly win over Chester.

Speaking to Liverpoolfc.com after penning the new deal Wilson said: "I'm delighted to sign the new deal.

"When it got offered to me, I was desperate to get everything sorted so I could sign it fairly early on in pre-season because I want to focus on playing football.

"So, now this is sorted, I feel I can do that and push on and try and impress."

After the friendly at Chester where he shone with two goals Wilson is aiming to impress Jurgen Klopp with every chances he gets.

"I think my short-term focus is to keep trying to impress the manager day in, day out in training and, the minutes I get in pre-season, try and impress.

"[I want to] keep trying to score goals, [get] assists, help the team out and then I'm not looking too far beyond that.

"I feel if I do well enough here, everything else will take care of itself."
