Coutinho was continually linked with a transfer back to Liverpool this summer, but Jurgen Klopp doesn't seem to have welcomed a move for the Brazilian.

After failing to nail down a place in the Catalan side's starting XI, the midfielder has been on the end of constant criticism from the club's supporters, with many taking aim at him for their poor end to the season.

And now the former Liverpool keyman is expected to arrive Munich over the next few days with Bayern sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic confirming on Friday night that an agreement have been reached with Barcelona.

"I can confirm that (chief executive) Karl-Heinz Rummenigge and I were in Barcelona and we have reached an agreement with the club, player and agent,” Salihamidzic was quoted as telling broadcaster ZDF.

"Only a few details are still to be sorted out. We are very happy that we will bring this player to Bayern."
