Liverpool set to offer Virgil van Dijk bumper new deal

Liverpool are set to make Virgil van Dijk highest paid player in the club

Lfc rumour
The Reds want to tie Virgil van Dijk to a new improved contract that would see him earn twice his current salary.

The Dutch defender has emerged a pivotal part of the Reds' development since arriving from Southampton in the winter of 2017.

Van Dijk has won the PFA Player of the Year under the Reds and has helped fire them to their sixth European Cup glory in just two seasons of him joining.

He has also help marshaled a once weak and slated Liverpool back-four to be one of the most dreaded in the Premier League.

And the Merseyside club are now set to reward him by doubling his current 125k per week wages, putting him ahead of Egyptian forward Mo Salah as the club's highest earner.
