Liverpool first winter signing confirmed - RB Salzburg agrees to sell German forward

Red Bull Salzburg have agreed to let Karim Adeyemi move to Liverpool in January

Karim Adeyemi is reportedly set to quit the Austria Club for Anfield when the transfer window reopens in January.

The 17-year-old winger had initially attracted interest from La Liga giants Barcelona but the Reds were swift to curbing any further approach for the teenager when they entered the race earlier this month.



It is understood that RB Salzburd have agreed to accept a transfer fee worth £20million from Liverpool in January after they had initially turned down a €15million approach from Barcelona last month.

Adeyemi was awarded the gold Fritz Walter Medal by the German Football Association (DFB) in August. The prize which is awarded to the best young player in German football.

The German youth player who has a Nigerian decent is currently on loan in Austria second League side FC Liefering and has already contributed nine goals and six assists in 15 games so far this season.
