Liverpool tipped to snub FA Cup in pursuit of Premier League and Champions League

Liverpool have been predicted to drop out of the FA Cup as they lock horns with Chelsea tonight

The Anfield club were beaten 3-0 at Vicarage Road by Watford on Saturday.

The defeat was their first in the league since last January, and ended their unbeaten run at 44 games.

Although, the Premier League leaders are still 22 points clear at top of the table and can win the title if they avoid dropping a point in their next five matches.

Minding the shock defeat at Vicarage road during the weekend, former Chelsea player Craig Burley has predicted  that Jurgen Klopp will play a weakened lineup against Chelsea tonight,  believing  that the German will be more cautious about their upcoming Champions League 2nd leg clash with Atletico Madrid at Anfield on March 10.

"I think Klopp is going to start putting more eggs in the Champions League basket," he said on ESPN FC.

"I think he’ll weaken the side. For that reason, I’m going for Chelsea, but only if [Klopp] weakens his team.

"I think he might focus on the Premier League - which they’ll win - and the Champions League.

"After Saturday’s game, [he do] just go for the two of them rather than the three. I'm hedging my bets with that one."
