The future is looking brighter for the Reds as a new kit deal with Nike, worth £100m a year, edge closer.

It has seen fans speculate on what the new strip will look like for Liverpool, with some producing concepts.

But a new home kit for the next season has emerged with some surprising inclusions which has split fans with some new design features.

Red is the dominant colour for the leaked home kit, with Nike’s famous tick logo on the right breast.The front has a dotted pattern woven into the material with long strips down the sides as well as on the shoulders.

On the back is the shirt number as well as the familiar emblem attributed to the Hillsborough disaster under the collar.

One of the most prominent features, though, is a green and white strip around the collar, sleeves and sides.

This is based on Nike's model used for the 2020 national team kits, already seen on Korea’s shirt.The leaked Reds kit was originally shared by Footy Headlines on Twitter before being re-published on Reddit.

And some fans were blown away by the new design.

One supporter said: "Is this real? I love it,"

Another commented: "This is looking really good."

A third fan added: "This is looking really good."

But others were not impressed, among them;

One wrote: "Can't say I'm a fan of the green and the texture."

Another added: "The double V-neck on the back looks incredibly stupid.”

A third supporter wrote: "I would love this if it wasn’t so weird on the back,"
