Mbappe has been strongly linked with a move to Liverpool in recent months, but also remains high on Real Madrid's transfer wishlist.

The World Cup winner's current contract with PSG runs until the summer of 2022, but the newly-crowned Ligue 1 champions are looking towards an extension.

It's thought that Mbappe would prefer a move to Real, who have had him on their wish list for some time now.

Despite that, it appears the French superstar is actually leaning towards signing a new deal with PSG - but on one condition.

According to AS , 21-year-old Mbappe has told Ligue 1 champions PSG he wants to be able to talk to other clubs who may be interested in a big-money move in the future.

It is understood  that French clubs are not allowed to insert release clauses into contracts as it is illegal.

But Mbappe is allowed to reach a gentleman's agreement with the Ligue 1 club about whether he would be allowed to leave.
