Liverpool have entered the race to sign Sporting CP star Nuno Mendes

The 17-year-old has been under the watch of Premier League rivals Manchester United with the Red Devils having a upper hand in landing him due to their growing relationship with Sporting CP following Bruno Fernandez transfer.
However, it is claimed that Jurgen Klopp has also been an admirer of the youngster, with the fullback having played against Liverpool in the preseason of last summer, that's according to Portuguese outlet A Bola.
The A Bola claimed Jurgen Klopp could swoop for the young left-back this summer, believing an offer worth around €20m could convince Sporting CP to let the player slip through their fingers despite their unwillingness to sell.
