Sancho who has been strongly linked with a £100million transfer to Manchester United has allegedly favoured a move to Liverpool after the Merseyside club's Premier League success.
The 20-year-old knows that realistically he could taste top-flight glory in his first season at Liverpool according to German publication Kicker.
However the biggest stumbling block for the Reds to clinch a deal would the player's £100million price tag.
Klopp was asked about his side's chances of signing Sancho last month.
The Liverpool manager told German Newspaper Bild: "The red shirt [of Liverpool] would suit very well. I don't think such a transfer will be possible this season.
"He [Sancho] is a very interesting player. If he's coming to Liverpool I would be the most surprised of all of us."
