No Liverpool exit for Harry Wilson amid Burnley interest

Jurgen Klopp is reportedly planning to keep Harry Wilson amid Xherdan Shaqiri potential exit

Lfc rumour

Wilson was in from the cold last night to play full 90 minutes for Liverpool as the Premier League champions crashed out of the Carabao Cup against Arsenal on Thursday.

After a dour stalemate, Wilson was one of two Liverpool players who missed in the penalty shootout after the Reds dominated the show to full time.

It was his first-ever competitive start for the club and many were surprised to see his name on the team-sheet ahead of the game.

One name that was missing on the night was Shaqiri, who scored a stunning free-kick in the 7-2 win at Lincoln last week.

It is believed that the Switzerland international has been put in line for a Liverpool exit was the reason why he was excluded from the matchday squad.

There have been also bid from Burnley for Wilson, a bid around £12million plus £4million add-ons which has reportedly been ignored by the Reds.

According to the Athletic Liverpool are waiting for Burnley to increase their offer with Klopp potentially willing to keep the Welsh forward in place of Shaqiri should the former Stoke man leaves the club.
