Dejan Lovren has sent a positive update on Van Dijk's injury after meeting with the former Liverpool teammate
The separated Liverpool pairs met in the UAE with Virgil van Dijk stepping up his rehabilitation following surgery on an anterior cruciate ligament injury. Lovren, on the other hands is embarking on some warm weather training away from the freezing temperatures of the Russian winter Zenit St Petersburg.
Lovren posted a picture of Dijk and himself at the NAS Sports Complex training together.
He captioned it: "It was nice to see my former teammate Virgil van Dijk today.
"A tough injury he had, but he looks stronger than ever, soon brother you will be on top of your level again.
"Good luck to Liverpool in today's derby. We are with you!"
