Gary Neville fires Liverpool and Chelsea dig as he celebrates United going top

Manchester United climbed to top of the Premier League on Tuesday after beating Burnley 1-0 at Turf Moor

The Red Devils secured all three points at Turf Moor holding on to Paul Pogba's goal in the last 15 minutes of the game.

The victory saw the Old Trafford outfit leapfrogged arch rivals Liverpool to three point clear at top of the Premier League table ahead of a crunch clash between the two sides at Anfield.

Neville was covering the game for Sky Sports and posted a video on social media after the win showing him humming the 'Gary Neville is a Red' song which United supporters used to chant when he was playing.

The song is sung to the tune of 'London Bridge is Falling Down' and the lyrics go "Gary Neville is a red, he hates Scousers".

Reflecting on the victory and its importance ahead of the trip to Anfield, Neville told Sky Sports: "It’s going to be a huge build-up to the game on Sunday.

"I still don’t think people are veering away from that too much, it isn’t a moment to get carried away because we know full well how quickly this season has turned around.

"It was Chelsea five or six weeks ago having a great time, City were having a really bad time now they’re coming to the fore.
"Liverpool look strong and now Manchester United , who looked dead seven or eight weeks ago.

"It’s just all turning around for different teams at different moments and it could go the other way in three or four weeks.

"But like I said, it’s not going to stop Manchester United fans from getting carried away in the next few days.

"Why shouldn’t they? It’s been a really difficult few years and at times it’s looked like Manchester United are a millions miles away from the top of the league.

"So to be top of the league, three points clear of a really good Liverpool side, in January, is something that isn’t expected."
