Liverpool midfielder Fabinho has become the latest player to agree a new long-term contract at Anfield

The 27-year-old put pen to paper on an improved agreement that will extend his commitment to the Reds until 2026.

Fabinho has been rewarded after proving an outstanding success since arriving from Monaco for an initial £39.9million in the summer of 2018.

The Brazil international, who has scored five goals in 122 appearances, is regarded as one of the finest defensive midfielders in world football and was integral in helping Jurgen Klopp's side win the Champions League, Premier League, FIFA Club World Cup and UEFA Super Cup in recent years.

Fabinho also operated as a makeshift centre-back last season as the Reds grappled with a major defensive injury crisis.

The Brazilian's reaffirmed commitment comes less than a week after Trent Alexander-Arnold penned a new deal that ties him to the club until 2025.
