On what was an emotional day for Lionel Messi, Barcelona and the footballing world, one of the world's best made a stark admission after admitting he'd like to have won another Champions League with Barca.
Lionel Messi is tentatively linked with a move to PSG but Liverpool could be assumed his desired choice as he reminds the press of the Reds' Champions League comeback at Anfield against his former club.
In his Barcelona farewell press conference he said:
"I would have liked to have tried to win another Champions League.
"We got knocked out in the semi-final against Liverpool, which stopped us getting to another final. We got to the semi-final against Chelsea with Pep and they prevented us from getting to a final.
"There could have been a time where we won another Champions League, but that’s football."
