Ballon d'Or: Jurgen Klopp answers where Mo Salah ranks among world's best players

Jurgen Klopp has given his verdict on Mohamed Salah’s standing in world football after Liverpool’s win over Watford

Liverpool ran out 5-0 winners in the Premier League clash at Vicarage Road on Saturday afternoon, with Salah scoring yet another sublime individual goal.

Roberto Firmino scored a hat-trick to help Liverpool move to the top of the table, while Sadio Mane opened the scoring in Hertfordshire.

Salah’s stunning solo strike follows quickly after a similar one he scored against Manchester City prior to the international break.

It was the Egyptian's seventh goal in the Premier League this season and his 10th in all competitions.

Speaking to BT Sport after the game, Klopp was asked about where Salah ranks among the world’s best players.

"Top," replied Klopp. “Come on, we all see it, who’s better than him at this moment?

"That’s clear, there's always this discussion and all these kinds of things.

"But we don’t have to talk about what (Cristiano) Ronaldo and (Lionel) Messi did for world football or how long they were really dominant, but at the moment I think it’s clear there’s nobody better than him.

"How it is, it’s not only since yesterday, he’s been in that shape for a while.

"He's young enough to keep the shape a little bit longer."
