Barcelona president Joan Laporta is eager for long-term Liverpool target Dembele to remain at the Nou Camp and extend his contract, which expires at the end of the season.
Dembele has been linked with clubs across Europe, including the Reds, amid reports in the last few months that talks over a new deal at Barca had stalled.
Laporta recently discussed the situation and admitted the player will have to 'accept' their salary limits if he's to stay.
He told RAC1: "I really like Dembele, he's amazing, we made him a proposal that expired on December 20.
"If he wants to stay, he has to accept our salary limits. We never know what goes on with Dembele and his agent."
