Liverpool's first fixture of 2022/23 confirmed

Liverpool will take on Man City in their first game of the 2022/23 season after details for this year's Community Shield were confirmed

The  Reds, having won the FA Cup, will lock horns with the reigning Premier League champions in the annual season curtain-raiser. However, the game will take place at Leicester City's King Power Stadium with Jurgen Klopp's men denied a fourth visit of the calendar year to Wembley.

Kicking off at 5pm BST, the game will take place on Saturday 30 July, with the switch of venue due to the Women's Euro 2022 final being held at Wembley over the same weekend.
