Liverpool defender Joe Gomez is 'ready' to extend his Liverpool contract
Football journalist, Paul Joyce [ reporting for The Times ] says talks have taken place between the centre-half and Liverpool since the squad returned for pre-season training earlier this week.
He wrote on Twitter: "Joe Gomez has had further talks with Liverpool since returning for pre-season, wants to stay and ready to extend contract."
Gomez has been the speculated subject of a potential transfer to Aston Villa this summer.
