Here we spell out the conditions Nunez must fulfil to earn Benfica an extra €25 million on his £85 million transfer to Liverpool

Liverpool completed the signing of Benfica striker Darwin Nunez from Benfica this summer.

The Uruguayan penned a six-year contract after the Reds wrapped up a deal that would later rise to £85million (€100 million ) - with his former employers.

Liverpool forked out a £64m (€75m up-front ) fee and agreement was struck on what conditions they will pay the remainder ( over £20m add-ons) or (€25 million).

We look at what will trigger the (€25 million) add-ons that'll put Nunez as the most expensive player in Liverpool history.

According to Portuguese outlet Record, Nunez must appear in just 10 Liverpool matches to trigger a €5 million payout from Benfica's €25 million on hold.

An additional €10 million will be paid to the Portugal club after Nunez play 60 matches.

The final €10 million will be paid "depending on individual and team performance throughout Nunez' contract."

According to an Insider for Lfc Rumour , individual and team performance will include the player's hat trick, number of headed goals and major team position in competitions' table.

By all appearances, we've spot Nunez on a journey to break Liverpool’s club record fee ever paid for a player, after he became second most expensive player sold in the Portuguese League history.
