Barcelona midfielder Gavi has agreed to a contract term with the club
Gavi will have a €1bn buy out clause tied to his new Barcelona contract with the Catalan club confirming the agreement on Thursday.
The La Liga giants wrote: "FC Barcelona and the player Pablo Páez Gavira, ‘Gavi’, have reached an agreement to extend his contract to 30 June 2026. The buy out clause is set at 1 billion euros. Technically gifted and a valuable asset on the field defensively, Gavi is a player all coaches would love to have in their squad."
Liverpool were keeping tabs on Gavi earlier this year which they had an approach turned down for the Spaniard.
