Naby Keita and Oxlade-Chamberlain omitted from Champions League squad

Both players have been on sidelines struggling with recurring injuries

Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain have been excluded from the squad that will take part Liverpool's Champions League group stage fixtures.

The two were spotted omitted from the setting with Fabio Carvalho and Arthur Melo possibly taking their spot.

Liverpool's 24 man squad for the Champions League

Here's the list of players named by the club to kick off the Reds' campaign.

Goalkeeper: Alisson Becker, Adrian, Caoimhin Kelleher.

Defenders: Joel Matip, Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez, Ibrahima Konate, Kostas Tsimikas, Andy Robertson, Trent-Alexander-Arnold, Calvin Ramsay.

Midfielders: Thiago Alcantara, Arthur Melo, Jordan Henderson, Stefan Bajcetic.

Forwards: Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino, Darwin Nunez, Luis Diaz, Diogo Jota.

There are still two names expected to be added to the list. This player will however make the "List B" category.

Harvey Elliott and Curtis Jones couldn't find their way to the List A, that's because they're below the age of  22 and have trained and played alongside the senior team for two years. Both stars will hope to be listed to complete the list.

But the major names missing on the list are Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain who're still nursing a muscle injury each.
