Ruben Neves turned down Liverpool beacause he wants Barcelona move next summer

That's according to reports from Spanish news outlets Sports.
They claimed Liverpool were in talks with Neves agent about a move during the summer transfer window , however the player personally refused to proceed with negotiations, stating his ambition to play for Barcelona next season was all tied up to his repudiation.
The Spanish media says Wolves demanded a £43m fee from Barcelona for Neves at the same period but the Catalans weren't able to meet their asking price due to insufficient funds after completing several deals.
The Catalans will be back next summer for the Portuguese midfielder, it is understood, as they seek for a long-term replacement for the club captain Sergio Busquet.
