Talks are reportedly "progressing well" over an extension to Roberto Firmino's contract at Liverpool

Firmino is currently in his eighth season at Anfield and has put up impressive numbers so far this season, scoring seven goals in 13 Premier League appearances.
According to Sky Sports reporter Florian Plettenberg, negotiations for a new contract for the 31-year-old are progressing well.
Plettenberg tweeted: !Update #Firmino: Been told talks on a new contract beyond 2023 are progressing very well. But there is no final step yet. Player can certainly imagine extending it. Relationship with Klopp should be perfect. "
Despite his goalscoring form for Liverpool, Firmino has been left out of Brazil's squad for the World Cup in Qatar.
