Liverpool are still gearing up for a midfield overhaul this summer despite their 7-0 thumping of Manchester United where they appeared to dominate in the middle against the old rivals.
Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo have claimed that Naby Keita is in the interest of Xavi's Barcelona having been one of the standout midfield players nearing the end of his contract.
Keita's Liverpool contract expires at the end of the season, and Barcelona's current financial problems shows why a free transfer would be appealing.
