Dominik Szoboszlai to undergo Liverpool medical as £60m midfielder hails Jurgen Klopp as ‘the best manager’

Dominik Szoboszlai is heading to Liverpool (AFP via Getty) Dominik Szoboszlai will undergo a medical ahead of his €70 million (£60.1m) transfer to Liverpool, while the midfielder has already made it clear that he is a huge admirer of Jurgen Klopp. Liverpool have activated the €70m (£60.1m) release clause in Szoboszlai’s contract with RB Leipzig and his move to Anfield is now in the final stages. Newcastle United had also expressed in signing the Hungary international but are instead prioritising a deal for AC Milan midfielder Sandro Tonali. Szoboszlai was one of RB Leipzig’s standout performers last season as the 22-year-old scored 10 goals and registered 13 assists in all competitions. During his two seasons with RB Leipzig, Szoboszlai has helped the club win back to back German Cups. Dominik Szoboszlai has previously hailed Jurgen Klopp as ‘the best manager’ (Getty) Szoboszlai will now link up with Klopp at Anfield and it seems apparent that the Liverpool manager has played a huge factor in the midfielder’s decision to join the Premier League. ‘I really like Klopp, the kind of person he is,’ Szoboszlai told Csisztu Sport Cast in 2020. ‘The way he fires up his whole team is incredible. Liverpool are also working on a deal to sign Nice midfielder Khephren Thuram, while they are also interested in Southampton’s Romeo Lavia.
