Liverpool's pursuit of Kylian Mbappe has taken the football world by storm, with a report suggesting that the club has tabled a staggering €200 million offer to secure the services of the Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) forward.

The report, if true, would make Mbappe the second most expensive player in history, behind the previous record set by Neymar's transfer to PSG.

Liverpool's ambition to strengthen their squad and compete at the highest level is evident in their pursuit of such a high-profile and talented player. The reported offer showcases the club's determination to secure Mbappe's signature and highlights their financial capabilities.

Additionally, other clubs, including Real Madrid, have also expressed interest in signing Mbappe, adding further competition to Liverpool's pursuit.

The player himself has remained coy about his future and has not made any definitive statements regarding a potential move.

"I have this hunger to win. I don't want to be on a team just to participate. That's why sometimes people think I'm arrogant," he told L'Equipe.

"Because I just hate participating. It's not in my nature, it's not who I am and I'm not afraid to say what I want even when things don't go the way I would have liked. I'm not afraid of failure either, it's part of a footballer's career. But I have the deep conviction that I was born to win and I want to show it to everyone."
