The transfer fee and contract length of the deal have not been disclosed . However, it is known that Liverpool initially made an opening offer of £34 million plus £4 million in add-ons, which was rejected by Southampton.

The  Reds then submitted a fresh bid of £42 million, which was also rejected . The negotiations between the two clubs are ongoing, and further details of the agreement are yet to be officially confirmed.
