Maurizio Sarri make Liverpool Carabao Cup admission after West Ham draw

Maurizo Sarri manager think Liverpool have better chance to surpass Chelsea in Wednesday Carabao Cup tie

The Chelsea manager made the admission after he watched his side held down to a goalless draw by West Ham United in Sunday's Premier League tie.

Sarri told reporters: "We have to face a team very very good, a team that has worked with the same coach four or five years, I don’t know exactly."

"They are a step forward than us at the moment. We have started to work altogether 40 days ago and less time with the international teams. For us it is a bit early. We have to work and improve and then maybe in a year it will be the same level as Liverpool.

"They have had one more day of rest. I want to see the picture of the situation tomorrow morning in the training session. I don’t know, maybe I will change 11, maybe five."

It was an afternoon of frustration for the Blues at the London Stadium, as they pushed the Hammers until the final whistle but could not find one strike past goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski.
