It has been confirmed that Manchester United have sacked Jose Mourinho
The Portoguese has been sacked by Manchester United after the 3-1 defeat to Liverpool at Anfield.
Manchester United are 19 points behind Liverpool in the Premier League.
Yesterday the Reds Devils were drew with Paris Saint-Germain in the last 16 of the Champions League.
But the Manchester club have decided to make a change mid-season and bring an end to the reign of the special one at Old Trafford.
A club statement read: "Manchester United announces that manager Jose Mourinho has left the club with immediate effect.
"The club would like to thank Jose for his work during his time at Manchester United and to wish him success in the future.
"A new caretaker manager will be appointed until the end of the current season, while the club conducts a thorough recruitment process for a new, full-time manager."
