Recent reports from Portuguese outlet Correio da Manha has claimed Liverpool bid to sign attacking midfielder Joao Felix from Benfica has been turned down.

The report also stated that Premier League rival Manchester City and Manchester United are also on the quest to clinch the signature of the 19-year-old.

Felix who is tipped by football experts to be one of the next big name in European football has scored 4 goals in a few 9 appearances for Benfica this season.

The Portuguese youngster had attracted interest from other top-notch European clubs in the past and Jurgen Klopp is said to be an admirer him.

Liverpool are currently hit with several major injury setbacks but at their back-four, however, signing an attacking midfielder can help bolster their offense with hopes still binding a Premier League or Uefa Champions League glory this term.

Felix have signed a recent contract extension, increasing his buyout clause to £105million, way above Liverpool’s £61million bid for him.
