Liverpool are close to landing their former key man this summer after being linked with a reunion in recent months.

Their push for Coutinho is believed to have rekindled from the Brazilian's admission that he won't be joining arch-rivals Manchester United, believing a move to Old Trafford would make him lose the respect of his former Loyals.

And according to Le10sport, Liverpool are now keen to resign Coutinho as Barcelona want the midfielder out this summer.

Earlier reports have said the Reds are tabling a £60million offer to seal a deal but it is now understood that Coutinho wants to return to Liverpool and that is due to happen after the ongoing Copa America tournament held in Brazil.

A fee less than £70million is demanded by Barcelona from Liverpool, although the Catalan club would want other suitors to meet the £85million price tagged on the playmaker.
