The Spain international has also been linked with move to Barcelona in recent days but according to SPORT, a €20million offer from the La Liga champions was turned down by Real Betis.

However, a recent report has claimed Firpo is now due to undergo his Liverpool medical on Friday after the Reds have swiftly surpassed Barcelona to seal a €30million agreement with Real Betis for the 22-year-old.

Jurgen Klopp has only one senior left-back [Andy Robertson] on his rank to mount a title challenge next season.

And the Liverpool boss had earlier stated there's need for his side to bring in a new player that can compete Andy Robertson in that position.
