Liverpool came under criticism prior to the transfer deadline from desperate Ryan Kent who wanted to leave Anfield to secure a brighter future

Lfc rumour
The 22-year-old winger who sealed a late permanent move to Rangers has been a target for the Ibrox outfit all summer, having enjoyed a successful loan spell there last season.

Liverpool had an initial approach from the Gers turned down. They also rejected a £5million bid from Championship side Leeds United.

Kent who was desperate to leave Anfield, particularly to reunite with Steven Gerrard at the Ibrox aimed a dig on Instagram directed towards Liverpool after the Merseysider had appeared to have intentions of tying him down with few days left to shut the European transfer window.

The former Liverpool winger on his Instagram wrote a bible passage from St Peter which reads: "And through covetousness shall they with fiend words make merchandise of you: whose judgement now of a long time lingered not, and their damnation slumbereth not".

The social media post reflects Liverpool were stopping him from moving forward, especially after pricing him out of a move.
