Jurgen Klopp hint at possibility of signing Genk star who impressed against Liverpool

Liverpool are now being linked with a move for Sander Berge after Tuesday's Uefa Champions League win

Lfc rumour
Jurgen Klopp, himself, incited the transfer speculations after heaping praise on the player's performance in Liverpool's Champions League home win over Genk on Tuesday.

The Reds fired themselves to two points clear from Napoli in Group E standings after the victory.

And Norwegian newspaper VG has stated Jurgen Klopp was impressed with Berge after the game and had some decent exchange with the Genk midfielder.

The report also claimed the Liverpool boss has an invested interest in the 21-year-old.

"You are an interesting player, a very interesting player," the Norwegian newspaper quoted Klopp as saying.

Berge was asked about the exchange and while he had refused to reveal what was said, the Norwegian replied: "It was a great moment. It is nice. You take it with a smart smile. It is nice that such a reputable trainer comes away and says something like that.

"But overall, it's the team performance I'm happy with. We go ahead, get up and play evenly with Liverpool throughout the match. That’s what matters most."
