Liverpool could miss out on Premier League title amid coronavirus scare

Liverpool Premier League title dream this season could end if coronavirus truncate Premier League season

The Merseysiders currently sit 22 point clear at top of the Premier League but they have reportedly been given 'no guarantees' over winning the title should the season be cut short by coronavirus.

There have  been growing fears over the alarming rate at which the deadly coronavirus is spreading across the globe since its outbreak in China.

Minding the spread of the killer virus, the Union of European football association UEFA have made it known officially that they may scrap the upcoming Euro 2020 games which is to be held in host of cities in the continent.

Meanwhile Premier League rivals Newcastle United have instructed their players not to shake hands with each other in training.

It could mean another major Premier League title setback for the Reds if the threat of coronavirus become intense that it cut short the Premier League season.

And according to the Telegraph there is no regulation on ground for such scenario that would see Liverpool become crowned champions if eventually the Premier  League season is cancelled.

And it also points out bottom three clubs would escape being relegated.
