Liverpool summer move for Fabian Ruiz agreed — Player will arrive possibly in June

Liverpool have reached terms with Napoli to land Spain midfielder Fabian Ruiz

The Merseyside club were speculated to have open talks for the midfielder few days ago believing he can become a long-term replacement for Philippe Coutinho who left Anfield in 2018.

Ruiz has been able to establish himself as one of Europe's finest midfield players. The Spain international has made 2 assists and banged in 3 goals from his central midfield position for Napoli so far this season.

A £75million fee was on the table as both Liverpool and Napoli came into terms in closed window for the attacking midfielder on Friday.

It is understood that the fee was initially kept by the Reds to sign two or more players in the summer but with reports that one of Reds' major targets Kai Havertz' price-value has heightened to around £90million, the money is now being tabled for a marquee signing.

And it  is Ruiz who would be on his way to Anfield this summer alongside Timo Werner with both transfer fee summing up to around £120million.

The 23-year-old who has also attracted interest from Barcelona , Manchester United, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich will be arriving in an unprecedented time as it remain to be seen when the current football season will end amid the coronavirus pandemic that has brought football across Europe to a standstill.
