Michael Edwards' stance on Kai Havertz transfer after £90m fee tagged

Bayer Leverkusen are reportedly demanding a fee in the region of £90million for Liverpool target Kai Havertz

Havertz is being tipped for a move to Anfield this summer, with Jurgen Klopp deemed as the ideal coach for his development.

The 22-year-old midfielder is also in the interest of Bayern Munich and Real Madrid, and that could lead to a bidding war among suitors this summer.

According to the Evening Standard, Liverpool may likely turn down their interest in the summer following a £90million fee that has been tagged on the German.

The Evening Standard reported that Bayern Leverkusen are demanding a fee around £90million to which Liverpool transfer chief Michael Edwards is not willing to pay.

It is obvious that the European champions would only be determine to shell out that kind of figure if a player would be a guaranteed starter.
