Dutch midfielder Gini Wijnaldum is not closer to signing a contract extension with Liverpool, according to reports

Wijnaldum's current Liverpool deal expires in the summer of 2021, and the Anfield club need to secure an extension this year, to avoid the midfielder being available for free in January.
According to the Athletic, Jurgen klopp is desperate to keep 29-year-old Wijnaldum, who turns thirty in November.
Although the report stated that negotiations between his agent and sporting director Michael Edwards have so far not achieved any advancement.
