The Egyptian signed for Liverpool in 2017 after the Premier  League champions agreed a £37m transfer fee with Italian Serie A side AS Roma.

Following his arrival to Anfield, the left-footed winger developed into one of the best and most prolific goalscorers in Europe under Jurgen Klopp's guidance.

Mohamed Salah so far has netted 92 goals in 145 matches for Liverpool.

But the Liverpool right-wing player has revealed he had fears before signing for the Reds three years ago, due to Mane's established role in his favoured right-wing position.

He told beIN Sports: "When I was about to sign for Liverpool, I was worried because he [Sadio Mane] was playing in my position and that made me worry about playing more often.

"But Jurgen Klopp personally explained to me that Mane will play on the other side.

"It wasn't a fight; everyone wants to help Liverpool to win and support other team mates.

"Sometimes we get angry in the match but that finished immediately and the game after we assisted each other and helped Liverpool with our goals and assists."
