Liverpool are currently faced with competition to sign Celtic centre-half Kristoffer Ajer as the Scottish champions are keen on Taiwo Awoniyi
But according to The Athletic, the Premier League champions will now face competition from newly-promoted Premier League side West Bromwich for the defender.
The report says that West Brom have listed Ajer as a potential candidate to strengthen their backline next season.
The 22-year-old currently values at around £20million but Celtic awaken interest for Nigeria international Taiwo Awoniyi could help Jurgen Klopp's side pull off a deal easily.
Awoniyi has spent last season on loan at Mainz.
The 23-year-old have previously had spells at Royal Excel Mouscron, Gent, NEC and Frankfurt and this summer he could possibly be allowed to leave permanently.
