Alisson says Liverpool will be wary of the Gunners' attacking threat when the two sides meet on Monday night but confident his side will get the better result.

"They have great strikers with good quality who can take decisions on the pitch," Alisson told Football Daily . "But now with more games played I think our team will do better against them."

Monday clash will be the third encounter between Arsenal and Liverpool this year, with a Carabao Cup clash to follow later next week.

The Gunners have won the two last meetings with the Reds, one in a 2-1 victory in the Premier League followed by their Community Shield triumph a month later.

After conceding three in their opening game against Leeds, Alisson recorded his first clean sheet of the campaign in the following game against Chelsea by keeping out Jorginho's late penalty.

The  Liverpool goalkeeper who narrowly missed out on the Golden Glove award last season believes a clean sheet against Chelsea would foment his side confidence on achieving another shut out.

He added: "Also the clean sheets is something mental that we have the confidence to keep going. I believe it will be a really good match."
