Liverpool are 'closing in' on Ibrahima Konate deal according to reports
The Reds are reportedly close to finalising a deal to sign the France international this summer.
According to The Athletic , the Premier League champions are in advanced talks with RB Leipzig to sign the 21-year-old.
The report claims the fee involved for the transfer is in the region of £40m, which is the player's release clause with the Bundesliga outfit.
Konate is predominantly a centre-back, but is also capable of playing at right-back or as a wing-back.
And it was earlier noted that the Red Bulls' sensation tipped Liverpool as his favourite destination to move this summer.
