Barcelona have tabled over a €100m offer to test Liverpool resolve for star defender Virgil van Dijk
Van Dijk is expected to return to full training this summer after a season long injury he suffered last year.
The Liverpool defender's situation has been viewed as a major trigger for the Reds hard knock campaign this season.
And his return next season would mean a huge boost for the Reds who have stumbled in their Premier League title defence this season after a 99-point runaway last term.
But according to a source in Spain, Barcelona manager and former Dutch international Ronald Koeman has contacted Dijk, negotiating terms for a deal that could see Liverpool receive a huge €100 million fee or possibly more.
